Martin has a diverse practice that spans Corporate, Commercial and Corporate Employment Law.   He has over the past 25 years built up considerable experience in providing corporate support for the employment aspects of business acquisitions, reorganisations, mergers and disposals and has expert knowledge of the Transfer of Undertakings Regulations. He also has particular experience in resolving Boardroom disputes and other higher level employment matters.

Martin has in recent years found himself increasingly dedicating time to working on business sales and acquisitions as well as company set-ups, and commercial agreements including Franchise Agreements, Joint Venture Agreements, Assignment of IP Agreements, Terms of Business, Privacy and Web Useage Policies, Consumer Sale Agreements, Distribution Agreements, Partnership Agreements and Shareholders’ Agreements.  He recently led a team that sold an information technology company in a transaction valued in excess of £10M.

Martin has a particular interest in the Fintech, Data Security and other technology industries, and is the firm’s key representative within The Shoreditch Partnership LLP which operates within the local ‘Silicon Roundabout’ community and which supports businesses with professional services in the Fintech and wider technology sectors.

He has been appointed External Counsel to various Fintech and other technology companies, and sits on advisor panels of numerous technology start up companies and other technology initiatives.

Martin has written for numerous publications including City A.M. and Securities and Investments Magazine. He has taught employment law to Human Resources students taking their professional qualifications and has spoken on the legal implications of smart contracts.

Martin is known for his user friendliness, practical approach and tenacity.
