Victoria is a senior associate in the Family Department. She joined Silverman Sherliker in June 2015 having previously worked for two other firms in Greater London. Victoria started her career as a trainee solicitor at a specialist family law practice and it was during her time at this firm that she developed a comprehensive knowledge of the practice area.
Victoria advises and assists clients across the full spectrum of contentious and non-contentious family/matrimonial issues including divorce, civil partnership dissolution, financial remedies and relationship breakdown. She also provides clients with comprehensive advice in relation to arrangements for children and is expert in drafting pre/post marital, cohabitation and separation agreements.
Victoria is a member of Resolution and is committed to the principles that it promotes. She can help clients to adopt a non-confrontational, conciliatory and constructive approach where possible. This can help to progress matters quickly and efficiently whilst also reducing conflict and frequently leads to a resolution without the need for a contested hearing often saving considerable monetary and emotional cost.
Victoria understands that dealing with a family law problem is often a stressful, difficult and upsetting time. She strives to adopt a client-focused approach and is committed to ensuring that all possible avenues are fully explored and matters are resolved as sympathetically as possible.
Victoria studied law at the University of Essex graduating with honours in
2006. From there, she went on to study the Legal Practice Course at the College
of Law in Bloomsbury, which she passed with distinction. Victoria completed her
training contract at a specialist family law practice before qualifying as a solicitor
in 2009. She continued to develop her practice there for a further four years
before moving to a full service London law firm based in 2013.
